Izuru sat silently on a bench just outside his barracks, calmly leaning back with his feet crossed at the ankles and hands folded neatly in his lap. He’d finally gotten enough paperwork done to manage a day off, and the day itself was as beautiful as it ever could be. The sun shone bright, the nearly cloudless sky the shade of robin’s eggs.
His mind found itself far away from the present, staring off into the broad sky and his eyes shown that. He’d had less than a conversation with anyone today and hadn’t really seen much of anybody today either. He figured they were out, enjoying the day if they hadn’t a mission to be on and if they did then of course they were doing that.
Although silent and sitting alone, he would never mind a conversation, a friendly greeting or even something else to do.
